Our big thanks to Emily from http://adventuresandkindness.com/ who gave us our first ever nomination of Liebster award. Our team is thrilled and loving the appreciation we are especially garnering from fellow travel bloggers. Emily described us beautifully while she nominated us. Here are her lovely words:
“Bohotraveller started in January (same time as me) and man they are already extremely impressive! I was blown away with their site and how much fabulous information it contains! (I mean they even have an e-book, check it out!) They’ve got some great destination guides, travel tips, and resources. They are your perfect one-stop-shop for all your wanderlust needs!”
Thanks ones again Emily, your support and words mean a lot to us! Thanks a lot to our subscribers and readers who love our work. Emily posed 10 questions to us that we responded to with great delight.
1. Why is your blog named Bohotraveller? What inspired you to name it this?
Our name can be broken down into Bohemian + Traveller. Bohemian because of the free spirit we stand for and our firm belief as a team that a heart of Bohemian is required to explore the beautiful world god has created for humans.
2. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
For me it is a great way to connect with others and let me out of my saintly existence! Blogging I find is a big stress buster for me and helps me in letting my feelings out. When you want to share your travels, I feel there is no medium as effective and wonderful as this. It is a hobby, passion and a great way of getting in touch with great people!
3. What is your least favourite thing?
We all hit that writer’s block for a few hours, days…sometimes weeks. And that is when you simply hate the fact that your work revolves around penning things down!
4. Who or what started your passion to blog about travel?
Travel is something me and my partner (for the website who is also a school mate) are simply in love with and writing is another passion of mine so a travel website is something that just came up in a casual discussion. Now this is something we both had been wanting to do but needed a little push and support which we got from each other and here we are now….presenting Bohotraveller to the world!
5. What are you hoping to achieve with your blog?
We of course want to share the wonderful and inspiring travel stories from around the world on the Bohotraveller platform. Apart from this, we want Bohotraveller to act as a facilitator and enabler for other travellers and this we hope to do through our well equipped travel store powered by Amazon and our extensive travel planner which enables travelers to book your flights, car rentals, cruises, hotels and tour packages. We want to be the one stop shop for all things travel.
6. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
This is the most difficult question to answer! So let me try as best as I can and I would not be able to name the place because there will be quite a few that would fit the bill. I am a mountain person and heat does not go down well with me! So it is all yours to guess!
My partner loves the beaches and he has taken upon himself to visit all the beautiful beaches in this world.
This way we get to cover it all for Bohotraveller!
7. If you could live the life of a famous individual for a day, who would it be?
I love my life and hope to become famous one day….so no trades on my life even if it is just for a day!
8. What is one interesting fact about you?
I am a Chartered Accountant by qualification who turned to blogging as a hobby and now is all set to take it up professionally! Well, same goes for my partner who is a finance professional and trying to balance Bohotraveller and his full time job right now!
9. If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It would be a South Indian staple- Dosa, Sambhar and Chutney! Just the thought of it makes me hungry!
My partner is crazy about Mexican food and will be happy to have a burrito bowl whenever!
10. Who are you going to nominate for the Liebster award?
Sally from http://safetravelsbysally.com/, Natasha Murtagh from https://thenoseyfox.wordpress.com and Christina Billias of https://www.thesuitelifeoftravel.com/. All of these women define a confident and independent traveller. We found a lot of boho spirit in these ladies when we got talking to them. Exploring the world comes naturally to them and this is something that they do everyday of their lives! Our lone guy on the list is Matt from http://mattstravelblog.ghost.io/. His blog is for those who just want to deep dive in travel stories and no other “Bullshit” like the theme of his blog says! This young chap has made world his playground and we personally love the intimate and detailed travel stories he put in his blog!
We finish up with a big thanks to Emily ones again for nominating us! So, getting a nomination for this award means that we get a wonderful opportunity to nominate three more fellow bloggers for this award and we also get to know them up and close with our own set of questions for them! So here we go - our nominees for Liebster award!
